Cyprus, in which VitaTrace is based, has a population of 670'000 (1996) with a pre-capita income of about US$ 16'000. The market for livestock products in Cyprus amounted to about US$ 230m in 1996. At least 60% of VitaTrace production is exported, mainly to the European Union, and to the Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, U.A.E., Syria and others).
